Is the Swanage to Poole ferry running?
Ferry leaves Sandbanks/Poole side on the hour, twenty past and twenty to the hour. First Ferry 7am, last Ferry 11pm. Ferry leaves Studland/Swanage side at ten past, half past and ten to the hour.
Do you pay both ways on Sandbanks Ferry?
All prices are one-way and include all passengers in the vehicle. The toll booth is on the Shell Bay side of the crossing so when travelling in a car from Sandbanks to Shell Bay you pay when you get off the ferry, and when travelling from Shell Bay to Sandbanks you pay before you get on the ferry.

It has a nominal capacity of 48 cars but can quite easily accommodate 52 without difficulty, also buses, coaches and large trucks now only take up two car spaces instead of the four spaces occupied by these vehicles on Ferry No 3.

The ferry runs daily from 7.00am to 11.10pm. The first sailing leaves from Sandbanks at 7.00am, then every 20 and 40 minutes after each hour and on the hour until 11.00pm. The first departure from Shell Bay is at 7.10am, then every 30, 50 and 10 minutes past the hour until 11.10pm.
