Do you have to pay to walk in Sheffield Park?
Our parkland area is free to visit and does not need to be pre-booked. It is open dawn till dusk.

Are dogs allowed at Sheffield Park National Trust?
Visiting Sheffield Park with your dog. Dogs are currently welcome in the garden at any time. We kindly ask that you keep your dog on a short lead. Dogs are also welcome on the parkland – but please do keep them on a lead as we have livestock grazing all year-round.

Free to park at the car park but you need to pay for a tram ticket to travel. Trams serving this stop: Blue tram Malin Bridge – Halfway (Up to every ten minutes). Bus services serving this site: First 81 and 82 provide a 10 minute service to and from the City Centre.

Meadowhall Interchange, where the coaches, buses and trains go from, has its own park & ride car park. You can park there free of charge as long as you like if you are using public transport that departs from the Interchange. I would advise against using the shopping centre car park if you aren’t shopping there.

How much does it cost to go to Jardin des Plantes?
The Jardin des Plantes, botanical school, rose garden, rock garden, peony garden, and iris and perennial plant gardens are free. There is a small fee to enter the Alpine Garden. It is open on weekends from April 1 to October 31. The zoo costs around €15.
