What is the minimum UCAS points you need?
For some courses it may be necessary for applicants to have passed qualifications in specific subjects. Please see individual course requirements on our course pages for more information. The majority of our undergraduate degrees will require at least 104 UCAS Tariff points.
Is 32 UCAS points good?
It’s important to note that the tariff points have changed since 2017, and they are now much lower. An A-level grade A* was once worth 140 points but is now worth 56 points.

Is 112 UCAS points alot?
112 points may sound like a lot, but actually, it’s not as bad as it seems and most students can achieve it with studying 3 A Levels. All A Levels come with UCAS points, the maximum number for one being 56 and that would require an A* grade. The lowest amount of UCAS points you can get for an A Level is 16 (grade E).

Do UCAS points actually matter?

What grades do UCAS look at?

GCSE grades are not worth any UCAS points. And UCAS points do not affect GCSE grades. A-level, AS Level exams and IB diplomas are the essential for UCAS points as well as case dependent qualifications.
Can I go to uni with just GCSEs?
Most universities will look for an 4/5 at GCSE (A*-C under the old grading system) in English, maths and possibly science. Specific courses may also ask for minimum grades in certain relevant GCSE subjects, while competitive courses will look for strong GCSE results as an indicator of your academic ability.
What happens if I don’t get any UCAS offers?
The university of college will consider your application – if after 21 days you don’t hear, you can choose to either continue to wait or add a new choice. If you receive an offer, reply and subject to meeting entry requirements you’re in. If you receive an offer but don’t want to accept it, you can decline it.
Can I get into uni with 3 C’s?
There’s still a chance a university will accept you with lower grades if you narrowly missed the mark (though trying your luck with three Cs when your offer was ABB probably won’t work). There can be a disparity between what a university asks for and what it will accept.
Where can I study with 19 points?
If you achieve an APS of 19, you can study Diploma courses. ICB and NATED courses go up to the Diploma level, which is just one level below a Bachelor’s Degree.
