What happens if you don’t tap out with contactless?
If you don’t touch in and out, we can’t tell where you’ve travelled from or to, so your journey will be incomplete. Maximum fares don’t count towards capping.

What happens if I forget to tap off? You will be charged the single fare to the end of the route, so always remember to tap off in order to pay the correct fare.

What cards can be used for bus?
All contactless-enabled credit cards can be used at MRT and bus gantries, with no need to register the card beforehand.
How do you use a pop card on a bus?
On buses, you use the balance on your Pop PAYG card to buy your normal single, return or day ticket from the driver. Simply tell the bus driver which ticket you want to buy, then touch your Pop PAYG card on to the reader on the ticket machine. Take your ticket from the machine as normal.
Can you tap on GO bus?

How do you use a card on a bus?
Look for the contactless symbol on your credit or debit card to see if your card is contactless enabled. Then, board a bus with the contactless symbol and instead of paying with cash, simply tap your card or contactless-enabled device onto the reader and wait for the beep.
Can I travel with just a debit card?
Although using a credit card to pay for travel is more convenient and safer than using other methods, you still have various options available to you that you can use to book your travel. PayPal, cash, gift cards and debit cards all make it possible to pay for travel without a credit card.
Should you travel with debit card?
Debit cards aren’t used widely in corporate travel because the charges go directly to the cardholder’s bank account and don’t offer payment terms. Travelers electing to use debit card funds should note paying with the card is typically cheaper than withdrawing money from it.
How many times can you use contactless before it stops?
Card issuers only allow five consecutive contactless transactions that can be made before a PIN is requested in order to prevent fraud. So if you only use your card for small payments make sure you can recall the PIN to avoid getting caught out at the till.
What happens if you tap in twice?
If you tap in at a station, you can’t pass your oyster card back to your mate behind, the system won’t accept two consecutive tap ins. However, it WILL accept them if the two are broken up by a tap out. So to discourage that, there’s a hefty fee involved with doing so.
