Where do you park for the Globe Stockton?
There are several public car parks located within a 10-minute walking distance of the venue including Wellington Square, Riverside, Castlegate and Bishop Street Car Parks. Wellington Square Car Park, located nearest to the venue, is Free of Charge after 5pm.

Can you take food and drink into the globe?
You can bring the drinks and food into the audience, however rude it might seem. But especially on the yard it’s acceptable to watch the play with a pint of beer in your hand. Actors seem to get a sip from spectators cups once a while as well 😉 7.
Can you sit in the yard at the Globe?
Some make the cardinal sin of actually sitting down in the yard – this, as a steward has already explained to me, is strictly forbidden. You can crouch but you can’t sit – a strange technicality resulting from the timber building’s unsurprisingly elaborate fire and safety code.

Can you walk around the outside of Warwick Castle for free?
Sadly no. The castle and grounds are surrounded by their on site accommodation the Knights lodges and the car parks which the main car park for daily visitors is a 15 min walk from the castle entrance. You can’t get into the actual castle grounds without bypassing the main ticket entrance.

How early should you get to the Globe?
I haven’t been in the last year, but we previously always tried to be there about 15-30 minutes before the start of the play. The gates don’t open until right about then, but it’s worth it getting there just a bit earlier, to be able to stand upfront by the stage (+easier on your back when you can lean!).
Can you bring water into the Globe?
Shakespeare’s Globe. Can you take in your own drinks? Yes you can, however glass isn’t permitted inside the auditorium, so make sure you transfer any drinks into plastic bottles or containers before entering.
What do you wear to the Globe?
Mostly casual pants and collared shirts, some jeans and t-shirts, and a few in shorts.
Can you take chairs to the Globe?
Please do not bring shooting sticks or folding chairs. There are no cloakrooms for the storage of coats or baggage. We request patrons to keep their belongings with them at all times. For the comfort of all patrons, it is not practical to take large items into the theatre.
How many people can stand in the yard at the Globe?
Seating capacity is 873 with an additional 700 “Groundlings” standing in the yard, making up an audience about half the size of a typical audience in Shakespeare’s time.
Can you bring a bag to the Globe Theatre?
The maximum bag size is 40cm x 35cm x 19cm. We are not able to admit oversized bags. Our cloakroom is currently closed, so you will need to store any large bags offsite if you are attending a performance, tour or event.

This close is the one place in the centre of Warwick that has unrestricted parking and is not metered.
Can you go back to your car at Warwick Castle?
If you need to exit the castle to return to your car for example, please speak to a member of our admissions team to allow you re-entry on the same day.

You can pre-book parking sessions up to 90 days in advanced either online or through the RingGo app. Pre-booking does not guarantee a parking space and you should check the parking enforcement times (or car park opening times), before completing your booking.

Is Warwick Castle worth the money?
Most castles in England you can see within a couple of hours, but Warwick Castle takes the whole day and then some to explore, so it’s a fantastic day out and well worth the money!
