There’s so much history, and plenty to see. The kids had a brilliant time, but I do think it’s best if they’re at least 5 to make the most out of of it. The castle walls and state rooms are mostly looking rather than hands on, so some kids might find it boring.

Can you walk around Warwick Castle for free?
Sadly no. The castle and grounds are surrounded by their on site accommodation the Knights lodges and the car parks which the main car park for daily visitors is a 15 min walk from the castle entrance. You can’t get into the actual castle grounds without bypassing the main ticket entrance.
