Can you take alcohol on the Waverley?
No alcohol can be carried aboard and we reserve the right to search bags at the gangway and any alcohol found will be removed. Waverley has two bars, drinks are served at the crew’s discretion to passengers of legal drinking age.

Edinburgh is a great city for walking and is generally suitable for walking around with a pram or stroller (although there are steps in some of the older sights). It’s streets are like a museum and at night the centre is illuminated beautifully.

Yes, Edinburgh Castle have stated they are pushchair friendly.
Can I take a buggy on the train?
Can I take my pram onboard the train with me? We’re very happy for pushchairs, prams and buggies to be on our trains, just as long as you make sure they’re folded at all times and stored the same way as any other item of luggage. If this is not possible, they may be stored in wheelchair spaces that are empty.
Is the Waverley sailing in 2022?
Waverley’s 2022 season will also include sailings in English and Welsh waters when she heads south in late August. The final sailings of the season will take place on the Clyde in mid-October.

If you’re over 16 you can work as a member of the waiting staff in a hotel or restaurant and can serve alcohol if it’s to be drunk on the premises along with a meal and the sale has been authorised by a responsible person.
