Dogs are allowed everywhere on site except in the restaurant and the shop. Site is 22 acres with 15 indoor and outdoor exhibitions. There is also a woodland walk.

Can dogs go on York walls?
Dogs are not allowed on the City Walls, except for assistance dogs. Wheelchairs and pushchairs are not practical up on the narrow wall-walk but they are fine in the Museum Gardens where you can see York’s best Roman walls.

Where can dogs go in Whitby?
Whitby has beaches on both sides of the River Esk. On the east side is the smaller Tate Hill, a sheltered sandy beach that allows dogs all year round. On the other side of West Pier is West Cliff, a larger sandy beach with colourful beach huts, deckchair and windbreak hire, a children’s paddling pool and donkey rides.

Walkies. All of our walks are dog friendly (apart from the boardwalk on the National Nature Reserve), but you are likely to encounter livestock and stiles on many of them.
