Bridlington on the east coast in East Yorkshire is a fantastic place to visit either for a day or longer with it’s extensive dog friendly beaches, places to eat and visit which welcome dogs.
Where can dogs go in Bridlington?
Fraisthorpe Beach – a super sandy, dog friendly beach with no restrictions. Check out the Cow Shed for food and refreshments. Bridlington Land train – if those little legs get tired, hop on the land train along the promenade. Either stop off at The Ship Inn for refreshments or Sewerby Hall for exploring.
Are dogs allowed on Bridlington Promenade?
On the North Beach, dogs are forbidden from going between the North Marine Promenade to the North Pier during those months. For the South Beach, you must not let your pet go between the Princess Mary Promenade and the South Pier from May to September.

The Beach. Filey Beach is absolutely brilliant for dogs. From Royal Parade in Filey – a short 5 minutes walk from Glenview House – there are 4 miles of sandy beach. When the tide is out, the expanse of beach is so wide, your dog(s) will love the space to run around.

Dog free zones are in operation at Redcar and Saltburn from 1st May – 30th September every year. The area at Saltburn stretches from the Pier to Hazelgrove. The restricted areas are clearly marked with signs.

You can walk your dog before 9:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m. from the Saturday before Memorial Day until the Saturday following Labor Day. (At other times of the year these hourly restrictions do not apply.) Dogs must be under control at all times.
Is Yorkshire 3 Peaks dog friendly?
We do have it occasionally where people take longer than 12 hours that is not a problem. Q: Can I take my dog? A: No. We don’t allow any dogs on our guided Yorkshire Three Peaks events.
